MTW is an intensive workshop for young learners that aims to introduce and develop the triple threat skills required of professional musical theatre performers.
During a very full week we focus on all things Musical Theatre including the integrating of dance training, voice training and acting training. We teach varied and age appropriate material, culminating in a small open class on the last day so that parents can watch some of what we have been doing in the week.
The wonderful by-products of this course for young learners comes in the form of improved confidence, improved self-esteem, public speaking skills, communication skills, and how to use the body and face to convey emotion and expression.
After many years of work in the international musical theatre arena, and whilst currently working with the international children’s casts of the Sound of Music, our approach is to train the kids in the same manner they can expect to be rehearsed in a professional production.
The course also incorporates lectures by professional musical theatre artists, backstage tours of professional musical theatre shows, and a meet and greet with some of the lead performers in professional musical theatre shows.
We offer a safe, professional theatre environment that is stimulating, educational and entertaining. It’s an experience where young people can surround themselves with all things musical theatre.
‘MTW’ is not only for aspiring performers, but it is also for anyone who wants something creative and exciting to do during their school or college holidays.
